Umoja Wa Vijana Wa Africa
UNITING Young African DESCENTS from every corner of the GLOBE around new IDEOLOGIES and PHILOSOPHIES.
United Youth of Africa was born from a shared conviction: that Africa's future lies not in imported solutions, but in ideas cultivated from within. Chan and Arnold, each driven by a passion to address the continent's challenges, came together with a vision to unite young Africans around new ideologies and philosophies.
Africa stands at an inflection point: poised for a "Great Convergence", with a young, restless population capable of outpacing ageing civilisations wrestling with late-stage modernism. UYA exists to channel that energy into meaningful action and transformative ideas.
Two minds. One widening vision. An invitation to the continent to recognise that its future is not something to import, but something waiting to be uncovered.
Our Movement is primarily focused on UNITING Young African DESCENTS from every corner of the GLOBE around new IDEOLOGIES and PHILOSOPHIES that address both present and anticipated challenges within the African Society.
We conduct in-depth research to identify current and future challenges facing African society across multiple domains, including politics, the economy, family structures, cultural heritage, religion, and other societal trends.
We actively engage young Africans in structured discussions and debates to explore alternative solutions to these challenges. These ideas are formalized, submitted to relevant authorities, and shared publicly through various communication channels.
Our mission includes creating a community on university campuses that focuses on raising awareness of the continent's challenges, highlighting the anticipated impacts on young Africans and encouraging action.
We strive to make young Africans aware of their role in shaping society by encouraging them to understand how they passively contribute to the problems they will inherit. Through social media and other platforms, we connect them with past historical successes and failures.
We partner with organizations that share similar goals to amplify our impact, while maintaining alignment with the core vision of the UYA.
